Information

Roberts Crossing was originally built in 1916 as "The Query Store". Sometime in the 1940's it became known as the Roberts Store, because of its location in the Roberts Community. The current chapter began in 2009 as the idea of establishing the Roberts Crossing Restaurant by the Glodt Family. The Glodt family began in the restaurant business in the Portland area in the late 1930's. John Glodt opened his first restaurant in Salem, "The Cupboard Cafe", downtown in 1946. The legacy continued with Jim Glodt opening J's Restaurant in Woodburn in 1967 and continues with J's Cafe in Monmouth. Now Jeff & Kelly wish to continue the next chapter with a combination of family recipes, hand made food, and seasonal fare. Much of the original building has been preserved and we invite you to come visit and enjoy how the histories have come together.
