Alvin & Friends offers contemporary cuisine with Southern and Caribbean influences in an elegant and sophisticated space; the dining room features dozens of stunning, Matisse-inspired oil paintings created by owner Alvin Clayton, part of the restaurant’s signature look. Described by The New York Times as “a darling of downtown New Rochelle,” Alvin & Friends– selected by Open Table users for a 2017 Diner’s Choice award and winner of a 2015 Certificate of Excellence from Trip Advisor -- offers live music on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights as well as a jazz brunch on Sundays. Located across Memorial Highway from the New Rochelle Public Library, Alvin & Friends offers plenty of parking in the municipal lot adjacent to the library as well as the covered parking lot next to the Halstead apartments.
