After 6 years of great success at his first restaurant Ako In Williamsburg, Owner Nick Wang (a veteran of Hatsuhana), opened up a bigger spot right on of corner of Beford/Lormier and Nassau Ave in Greenpoint in 2016. Its mission is to serve unsurpassed sushi and sashimi, prepared through tried and true methods and centuries-old techniques .

The restaurant’s décor could be described as traditional minimalist with modern touches. It features brick walls, polished concrete floors, and tables and the bar fashioned from reclaimed wood from manufacturer From The Source in Brooklyn. private party room in the back holds more than 20 people great for large parties.

Omakase menu is served at the sushi bar, on Thursdays only for now, prepared by Chef Nick – 12 courses for only $100. Chef Nick Says “I’d like to provide the same quality & experience I provided to the banker & business people at Hatsuhana here at Amami to the locals.”
